2021 Jeep Compass and Compass Trailhawk facelifts leaked

The updated models get a new look up front, but will likely be offered with the existing 2.0-litre diesel and 2.4-litre petrol powertrains.

The first images of the facelifted 2021 Jeep Compass have leaked out of China.

At the front, the updated SUV features slimmer headlights and a new grille, complemented by smaller fog lights and a wider black fascia.

No obvious changes have been made to the Compass’s rear end.

Images of the off-road-oriented Trailhawk variant (pictured bottom of story) – with a matte black grille and red and black bonnet graphics – have also leaked, revealing it will benefit from the same slimmer headlights and a new set of alloy wheels.

No images have emerged of the Compass’s interior, but it’s expected to pick up a new central touchscreen running a newer version of Fiat Chrysler’s Uconnect infotainment system.

The current Compass is offered in Australia with a choice of 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel or 2.4-litre naturally-aspirated four-cylinder petrol engines, with the entry-level model priced from $36,950 plus on-road costs.

By 2022, Jeep could offer as many as 11 models, and is expected to launch a sub-Renegade micro SUV alongside its existing Wrangler, Compass, Cherokee and other nameplates.
