Acura is adding Long Beach Blue to the its list of heritage paint colors on the NSX hybrid supercar, which also includes Berlina Black and Indy Yellow. The bright blue was a rare exterior paint job on the first-generation cars, and it’ll cost an additional $1000 on the 2021 NSX.

A wide range of bright colors is available on the Acura NSX, including Indy Yellow and Thermal Orange, which are also $1000 options, and the new long Beach Blue joins the group to represent the Grand Prix of Long Beach, which Acura currently sponsors. In 2019, a factory-spec NSX lapped the course in 1:35.7, taking the production car lap record.

The Acura NSX is powered by a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V-6 paired with three electric motors that produces 573 horsepower. Power is routed to all four wheels through a nine-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and Acura’s Super Handling all-wheel-drive system (SH-AWD). During Car and Driver testing, a 2017 model launched to 60 mph in 2.9 seconds on its way to a 11.1-second quarter mile at 126 mph.

The 2021 Acura NSX is available to order now starting at $159,495, and they’ll arrive at the start of next year. The new Long Beach Blue paint job will cost an additional $1000.
